Clive Lewis MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, commenting on the Government’s ongoing refusal to provide again details of the deal made with Nissan to maintain their production in Sunderland, said:

“It is high time the Government started providing some answers. The public, and the many other businesses and employees facing turbulent times ahead, have a right to know what Nissan was offered to stay in the UK. Secret backroom deals are unfair, unsustainable, and are no way to run an economy.”
